Who we are

Recon AI is an independent Australian business telco comparison service. Our operator’s legal name and ABN are to be confirmed before launch.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, work email, ABN, business postcode and state, sign-in method and consent choices.
• Your questionnaire answers, saved shortlists and AI recommendations.
• Usage events, such as opening a shortlist or brief. These events do not include your contact details.
• Enquiry details only when you ask us to request provider quotes: contact and company details, selected products, business needs and your sharing consent.
• Payment records and credit balances. Stripe handles payment details; Recon AI never sees your full card number.

Why we use it

We use this information to run your account, match products to your business needs, provide briefs and AI recommendations, manage credits and payments, and lodge enquiries you request. We use usage events to understand and improve the service, prevent misuse and investigate faults. Buying-guide emails are optional.

Who we share it with

We share enquiry and contact details only with the providers you name, or their authorised partners, when you ask us to lodge an enquiry. We do not automatically send your shortlist to providers.

We also use Stripe for payments and hosting and AI processors to deliver the service. These processors may process information outside Australia. Avoid including confidential or sensitive personal information in free-text answers.

Keeping information

We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service, handle enquiries, meet legal and accounting obligations and resolve disputes. Detailed retention periods are still to be confirmed. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to those obligations.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to access or correct your information, delete your account, or withdraw optional marketing consent by emailing privacy@reconai.com.au. This address is a placeholder pending confirmation. We may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained for legal reasons.
